revised-by-laws

CluOver the past few months we have been working on revising the Club Mandalay By-Laws.

For your current revised copy of By-Laws click here.

The By-Laws are the basis for us to be able to create a welcoming and relaxing environment for everyone to enjoy.  Therefore, as a member of the Club it’s important that you take a few minutes to read over the current version of the By-Laws to fully understand your obligations as a member, the expectations and the accepted standards of behaviour that will allow us to all enjoy the Club Mandalay experience.

Below are some FAQ’s that we have received from members recently.  These questions, and many more like them, are all addressed in the By-Laws but we thought we might give you a quick reference guide to some of the more frequently asked.

Q: Can I drink alcohol in the pool area?

A: There is strictly no alcohol allowed in the pool area.  This is a condition of entry to the pool and is in line with liquor licencing requirements.  Food purchased from the Clubhouse can be consumed within the pool area but not within a 1.5mt distance of the pool edge.  There is no BYO food allowed.

Q: What do I do if a member has breached the Code of Conduct?

A: All breaches of the Code of Conduct should be reported to the Club.  There is a disciplinary process that is based on “major” and “minor” warnings and applies the three-strike policy for minor offences.  Each minor warning will receive a letter of warning and be noted on the member’s account.  If two warnings have been received, then the third will be referred to the disciplinary panel for consideration.  All major warnings are referred directly to the disciplinary panel.

Q: Can I bring my own alcohol and drink it on the course?

A: BYO alcohol is strictly prohibited in all areas of the Club.  Alcohol can be consumed on the course if it is purchased from the Club or from the drinks cart however the “Course” is defined and restricted to holes 1 to 18.  It does not include the practice areas or the grassed area in front of the Club.

Q: Do I need to register my golf cart?

A: Yes, you need to register your golf cart.  You can contact the Pro Shop to book in to have your cart registered.  As per the By-Laws, a fee will be incurred for this however we will be providing a grace period to get all carts registered and therefore the fee will be pro rata.

As always, the Club Mandalay management team welcomes feedback and ongoing consultation with community members.

Preserving the positive energy and experiences around Club Mandalay is something we view as a collaborative effort, shared between members, our Committees and staff.

We all play a part in creating a respectful, vibrant culture, enjoyed by all.

If you have any queries about the By-Laws, or suggestions for other ways we can enhance your member experience, please reach out to organise a sit-down chat with the Club Mandalay team; we’re only too happy to make some time to hear and take on board your feedback.
