Welcome Andre and Damian!
Following an extensive review of the member feedback from our recent Food and Beverage survey, we are excited to announce the appointment of two new staff, who will be leading our restaurant and café in a new direction.
Our new Head Chef, Andre Daoust will lead an entirely new kitchen team who will deliver a fresh and flavoursome new menu to launch us into late Spring and Summer with a bang. Andre’s “culinary journey” has taken him from the Rocky Mountains to the base of Mount Buller and more recently to some of the Yarra Valley’s finest wineries. Andre will bring a “Fresh, Fun and Approachable” style to Club Mandalay, with his vision to provide a “casual yet elevated dining experience with a focus on quality seasonal Australian produce”.
Andre will be working alongside our new Hospitality Manager Damian Armstrong, who most recently oversaw the event spaces at Marnong Estate. Damian will lead the front of house team, providing members and visitors to Club Mandalay with a warm and welcoming dining experience we can all be proud of. Damian is planning to “get the restaurant swinging” with his new and innovative ideas in the coming months.
These changes do mean that there will be a transition period that we need to go through as we assemble our new teams and develop our new offering.
Whilst our cafe remains open daily from 7am, our main restaurant will be closed with a bar menu on offer at the following times:
Wednesday and Thursday – 11am to 3pm
Friday and Saturday – 11am to 7pm
Sunday – 11am to 3pm
Our popular Friday night cocktail promotion and live music will remain. Please note that this Friday night, the 26th August, we will not have a bar menu available however we will be providing complimentary snacks.
We will keep you updated on these exciting new changes as they are finalised and thank you for your patience and understanding.
If you have any questions, please send an email to info@clubmandalay.com.au and we will be in touch.
